PR MAJALENGKA – The Last of Us Part II memenangkan beberapa kategori bergengsi di Game Awards 2020.
Dilansir Majalengka.pikiran-rakyat.com dari The Hollywood Reporter, Christopher Nolan memberikan penghargaan Game of The Year kepada The Last of Us Part II, mengalahkan Hides, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, DOOM Eternal, Final Fantasy VII Remake, dan Ghost of Tsushima.
The Last of Us Part II menyapu bersih kategori lain seperti, Best Game Direction, dan Best Narrative.

Brie Larson memberikan penghargaan untuk peran Laura Bailey yang membuat karakter Abby, anggota miliki Fireflies menjadi lebih hidup.
Bailey mengatakan bahwa tujuannya dalam menggambarkan karakter tersebut adalah menghormati suksesnya game pertama yang keluar pada tahun 2013.
Game Awards 2020 ini dipandu oleh Geoff Keighley dan disiarkan langsung dari 3 studio berbeda yang berada di Los Angeles, Tokyo, dan London.

Sementara itu, penghargaan lain diberikan kepada Final Fantasy VII Remake untuk kategori Best Role-Playing dan Best Score and Music.
Selain itu, Amous Us mendapatkan penghargaan di kategori Best Multiplayer dan Best Seluler Game.
Gal Gadot juga turut memberikan penghargaan untuk kategori Games of Impact kepada Tell Me Why.

Untuk kategori lain, League of Legends memenangkan penghargaan di kategori Best Esports Game dan Heo “Showmaker” Su sebagai Best Esports Athlete.
Dalam acara tersebut terdapat London Philharmonic Orchestra yang memainkan lagu tema Super Mario dari Abbey Road Studios, dan pentolan Pearl Jam membawakan lagunya untuk soundtrack The Last of Us Part II.
